Wedderburn will be home to more than 3,500 people, with over 1,200 homes creating this close knit community.

It takes time to build a community – you’ll have all your neighbours moved in and settled in six to eight years. Of course, this depends on the market, but we’re ready to fill the neighbourhood!

At this time, homes in Wedderburn will be built exclusively by our award winning showhome builder group. Our current builder partners are Anthem, Luxuria Homes, Prominent Homes, Partners Development Group and Sterling Homes.

Wedderburn currently offers one and two story Front Drive homes and Paired homes with attached garage, as well as front drive villas, townhomes and condos. At buildout, Wedderburn will have a variety of single family and multi family housing types.

The Wedderburn community is as much your home as your house is. Enjoy park space with your kids, climbing the jungle gym and swinging high above the ground. Getting to school is easy with Meadow Ridge (K-9) open, and you’ll be able to get your shopping done while grabbing dinner at D’ARCY Crossing, centrally located in Wedderburn and D’ARCY.

Coming soon to the community will be a dog park for our canine family members surrounded by pathways throughout Wedderburn for your evening walk. Additionally, kids can ride their bikes on the pump track right inside the community while you enjoy relaxation time in nature at Wedderburn’s picnic tables, making it easy to enjoy the great outdoors while simultaneously enjoying precious quality time with the family.

Looking for some fun on the weekends? Head over to D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club in the neighbouring community, or to the Okotoks Recreation Centre for some swimming, skating or yoga classes. No matter which you choose, both are just five minutes from Wedderburn.

Stop rushing to get your kids to school and enjoy a leisurely walk together. The local public school, Meadow Ridge (K-9), is open and is just a short distance from Wedderburn.

Interested in a Catholic school, or planning for the high school years? Find St. Francis of Assisi Academy (K-9) and Holy Trinity Academy (10-12) less than 5 minutes away by car, and Foothills Composite High School (10-12) just down the road in Okotoks.

You don’t have to go far to take your dog for a run. Wedderburn is home to a 4 acre future dog park, and residents can also visit Drake Landing, just a few minutes’ drive from Wedderburn, to enjoy a 4 acre off leash dog park.

Stocking your kitchen is just as important as using it – and Okotoks has you covered. Just a few minutes away by car you’ll find stores including Safeway, No Frills, Sobeys, Costco, Save-on-Foods and a Walmart Supercentre.

Wedderburn and D’ARCY will be home to D’ARCY Crossing, a mixed use commercial area including shopping, dining and other professional services. Anchor tenants include Shoppers Drug Mart and Safeway, so you are always within walking distance from getting your prescriptions or groceries. It truly is a one stop shop for all your after work errands with its convenient and stress free location.

Wedderburn is designed to be transit ready, with reserved bus stop areas. The Town of Okotoks is currently designing their transit strategy and layout – visit the Town of Okotoks website for more information.

Complete Streets is an initiative designed to enhance residential streets by planting and caring for trees along public roads. One of the many reasons Okotoks is the perfect place to create memories, these trees will add colour, shade and natural protection to your family’s outings.

For you, that means trees will be planted along the sidewalk beyond your property line. The specific locations will vary depending on your lot layout, but Anthem will maintain them through the build period, followed by the Town of Okotoks. You’re just responsible for the grass below the trees!

While Anthem finishes up building the community, we will be responsible for maintaining public areas. After that, the Town of Okotoks will take on that responsibility.

Unfortunately not. But lucky for you, your neighbours at D’ARCY have a completed skating rink only a few minutes’ walk from Wedderburn. Additionally, Okotoks Rec Centre is home to an arena – and it’s just a short car ride down Milligan Drive. For more information on Okotoks storm ponds, visit their website.

Getting to Wedderburn

From Calgary: Take Highway 2 south, then Exit 222 south to Okotoks. From Highway 2A/Northridge Drive, turn left onto Bannister Drive and follow the signs.
